We picked up some travelling lingo as we work towards this grand trip and don’t want to confuse anybody. If you ever get confused by something we say, read this and see if it all makes more sense. If it still doesn’t… well that’s what happens when business school grads try their hand at writing.
Definition: To wander in the manner of a vagabond : roam about
Importance to Us: We first picked this up after reading the book, Vagabonding, by Rolf Potts. This book is our travel inspiration as it made us think one of the most powerful thoughts there is… why not us? The term vagabonding is our code word for everything we are running towards in 2012: freedom from a daily job, freedom to spend everyday together, and freedom to explore the world.
Definition: A strong desire for or impulse to wander or travel and explore the world
Importance to Us: Pretty obvious, no? If you’re still confused take a look around the site and maybe glance at the About Us page. We have officially been diagnosed with a major case of wanderlust and hope we infect all of you as well!
Definition: To be frugally awesome; to travel the world and land on your feet; this ridiculously interesting blog
Importance to Us: Since we started and failed at our first blog, also named LandingStanding, the phrase has become our battle-cry. Whenever we save money: LANDINGSTANDING! Whenever we figure out another piece of our trip: LANDINGSTANDING! Whenever we are just generally awesome: LANDINGSTANDING! Learn to love it!
